PSP slim & lite pics. Hands on!

Well i just got the psp slim & lite. First i got the silver one but got really surprise of the bad build quality, it were really plasticly and felt brake able, i was not really satisfied with that one so i got the black one which felt better more sturdy! And yes the black one is very shiny and attracts fingerprints and grease.

t didn't take Team M33 long did it now? Just FIVE days after the Official European release of the PSP Slim & Lite, M33 have released custom PSP firmware v3.6! Sony will have to try harder than that to 'protect' their system from avid homebrew fans! Please help spread the word and DIGG THIS!!!

That's right, russian hackers M-33 have confirmed that a v3.6 custom firmware compatible with the PSP Slim is coming soon. The news comes days after the firmware of the new PSP slim was dumped!

PSP slim/lite out in Denmark!

According to Gamesection.dk the psp slim/lite is now available in game shops in Denmark! the release will be followed with 69 new psp games being released from now until December.

Load times; PSP phat VS. PSP Lite/Slim

You'll find the new "UMD Cache" option in the System Settings Menu. According to the scrolling description, enabling the UMD Cache will "reduce the frequency at which the system reads from the UMD." We enabled the UMD-caching feature and tested a few games to see if it had any affect on load times. UMD caching requires an initial memory load, so we also tested how fast the games could load up levels after we first started and exited a game to preload the data into system memory. We had time to test out only three games, but early results indicate that the additional system memory and UMD caching really do help speed up initial game launches, as well as subsequent level reloads.

PSP lite 64mb Ram upgrade!

0okm has revealed a number of great facts regarding the new PSP Slim and they are as follows but most noticably it is to ship with a TA-085 PCB motherboard and will receive a RAM upgrade so it will have 64MB of RAM instead of just 32MB. Good news for homebrew emulator's!

PSP Slim/Lite RAM upgrade!

It is rumored that the new and improved PSP wil have more ram to make the games load faster.

The PSP redesign will be available in September in Piano Black and Ice Silver. A PSP Entertainment Pack will include the Ice Silver version, Daxter, the UMD Family Guy collection, a 1GB memory stick, and will put gamers back $199.
